About the artwork

Large enough in feeling to hold a prayer room wall or a clear section of a living room, this painting needs space around its frame so the circular halo and lotus base can read at full force. The technique relies on flat, opaque color, precise contour lines, and tightly repeated dot patterns that ring the border, halo, petals, and draped ground with patient hand detail. The title Divine Saraswati points to the central figure, shown seated on a pink lotus and holding a veena, with jewelry, a crown, and a small peacock set beside her feet. And the placement works best where its frontal symmetry can face the room directly, since the centered figure and radiating circle lose impact if tucked into a narrow corner or crowded by nearby objects. This is wrong for a very small wall because the many borders, petal tips, and tiny white marks need a bit of viewing distance, while a medium to large wall lets the image settle into a steady devotional presence. The palette is vivid and high contrast, moving from deep blue and black to bright pink, green, yellow, red, and white, with the strongest visual fact held in the large peacock feather halo behind the goddess.
