About the artwork

A bright, playful mood comes from the springlike leaf shapes, open white ground, and bouncing arcs of color. The subject is botanical abstraction, with black stems and leaves standing in for plants while dots and rounded forms suggest petals, seeds, and small blooms. Their placement is full bleed and spread across the picture plane, so the eye keeps moving from the lower left to the upper right and back again through several competing clusters instead of settling on one fixed center. Rhythm Of Nature uses a flat, graphic handling of line and shape, and the smooth surface reads like acrylic with crisp edges, solid fills, and little visible brush drag even where colors overlap in narrow bands. And the palette stays light and punchy with aqua, lime, lemon yellow, lavender, peach, pink, and orange set against white, while the black outlines give the soft candy tones enough structure to keep the image from drifting. The surface looks smooth and matte.
